Awards

We passionately believe in recognising and rewarding our young people and team for their enthusiasm, talent and dedication.

To this end we have a variety of awards given out each year recognising and celebrating all of our achievements throughout the year.  

Certificates

Participation certificates awarded to members and participants as a recognition of their commitment and well done for their hard work in classes, rehearsals, productions and other activities.  

Youth Theatre: Acting, Singing and Dance

Awards given by the Creative Team to Junior and Senior Youth Theatre students who have shown enthusiasm, promise & worked hard during a production in a specific discipline.

Promo Champion

Introduced in 2012 this is the award to recognise a member, parent or volunteer who has promoted the organisation and events through publicity including social media and the internet.

Members and volunteers will be able to nominate online who they think should win the award. The three with the most nominations will then be judged and the winner chosen.

Fundraising Champion

Introduced in 2013 this is the award to recognise a member, parent or volunteer who has been heavily involved in fundraising activities.

Volunteer of the Year

Introduced in 2017 this award recognises a committed volunteer of the company who has helped consistently in various ways for a long period of time often behind the scenes without whom the company would not be the same.

Member of the Year

An award given to a committed youth member of Project Theatre who has shown exceptional promise, has made a special contribution to the company and represented the group well in the wider community.

Long service

Awards given to staff and volunteers for 5 and 10 and more years service.

James O'Rourke Award

An award given by the Artistic Director to a committed staff or volunteer member of Project Theatre who has shown exceptional commitement and service above and beyond the call of duty creatively and practically, during a production or event without whom the production or event would not have been the same.
