Paid Freelance, Part-Time (Term Time)
We are recruiting Choreographer(s) for our 2026 Youth Theatre Christmas pantomime, Cinderella and the Snow Queen.
Working with either our Junior Youth Theatre (8-11 years), Senior Youth Theatre (12-18 years), or both, you will develop and deliver fun, dynamic and engaging choreography alongside our creative team to bring this exciting festive production to life.
Rehearsals take place on Sunday afternoons (Juniors) and Wednesday evenings (Seniors) during term time from September to December. We are happy to consider applicants who wish to work with one group or both, offering flexibility to suit your availability.

Paid Freelance, Part-Time (Term Time)
We are recruiting a Dance Tutor for our Saturday Stage School programme, working with children and young people aged 3-11 years across our Tots (3-5 years), Kids (6-8 years) and Juniors (9-11 years) groups.
You will plan and deliver fun, engaging and high-quality dance sessions that develop confidence, creativity and performance skills within a supportive and inclusive environment.
Classes take place on Saturday mornings during term time from August onwards, with flexibility around the age groups taught depending on your experience and availability.

We are seeking a Volunteer Assistant Director to support our 2026 Youth Theatre pantomime, Cinderella and the Snow Queen. Working alongside the Director and creative team, you will help with rehearsals, assist with staging and character work, support young performers and contribute to the overall production process.
This is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to gain experience in directing, theatre-making and working with children and young people within a supportive, award-winning arts charity. Training and mentoring will be provided where required.

Whether your passion is technical theatre, lighting, sound, costume, props, set design, marketing, photography, film-making or general production support, we will work with you to gain hands-on experience in your chosen area.

Class Assistant – Stage School
We are seeking Volunteer Class Assistants to support our weekly Stage School classes for children and young people aged 3-12yrs
This is a flexible role that can be tailored to your interests and experience. You may assist with supervision, drama, singing, movement, games, creative activities and classroom support, helping to create a positive and encouraging learning environment. There will also be opportunities to contribute ideas, lead games, warm-up exercises and other activities that you feel comfortable and confident delivering.
This is an excellent opportunity for anyone considering a career in the performing arts, teaching, childcare, youth work or community arts. Training, mentoring and support will be provided, and the role can be adapted around your availability and development goals.
Suitable for both young people 15yrs+ and adults.

We are seeking Volunteer Class Assistants to support our weekly Screen School programme for young people aged 8-18.
This is a flexible role that can be tailored to your interests and experience. You may assist with supervision, acting for screen, film-making activities, games/exercises/warm ups, creative projects and classroom practical and technical support, helping to create a positive and inspiring learning environment. There will also be opportunities to contribute ideas, lead activities, support filming projects in studion and on location and assist with practical elements of film production based on your interests and experience.
This is an excellent opportunity for anyone considering a career in film, television, performing arts, media, teaching, youth work or community arts. Training, mentoring and support will be provided, and the role can be adapted around your availability and development goals.
Suitable for both young people aged 16yrs+ and adults.

Placements & Early Career Experience
Considering a career in the performing arts but have limited experience? Join us as a Class or Production Assistant and develop your own skills while helping young people develop theirs.
We welcome applications from those aged 14+ (depending on experience and the project) with an interest in theatre, the arts and working with young people.
This is a voluntary role, with agreed expenses paid where necessary. Training and support will be provided, and some roles may require a PVG disclosure check.
The opportunity can count towards the Duke of Edinburgh's Award or other accredited schemes, and Secondary School work experience placements can also be arranged.

The following are other general areas available for volunteers:

We are regularly looking parents and volunteers as supervisors/chaperones in classes, rehearsals and dressing rooms etc during productions and show week.

We are open to new Trustees joining our Board throughout the year helping with the governance of our charity who may also wish to take on office bearer roles or specific responsibilities as available/necessary.

Our fundraising and publicity team work closely with the rest of the staff and volunteer team assisted by our admin and creative staff to organise a range of events throughout the year, such as prize bingos, coffee mornings, awards ceremonies and quiz nights, as well as organising other initiatives such as promoting our Friends scheme. to promote our shows and events through flyering, marketing and publicity events and initiatives.
