Project Theatre in the Community

Project Theatre was formed through grassroots organising and community spirit and works as a non-profit organisation.  In our nature we pledge to be involved in the community (especially with young people) in as many engaging and positive ways as possible.

Through our Community work every year we aim to become involved, work with and help promote other groups and organisation making a positive impact in our local community (especially those working with young people).

What we do and how it works

We want to show that young people and performing arts have a positive impact in the community and promote and expand the interest of theatre and performing arts into other areas of the community.

We want to engage with organisations who could benefit from performing arts as a medium of communication for publicity and awareness. We are willing to work with a variety of organisations to achieve our joint aims and objectives.

Over a period of an active year for Project Theatre we will strive to help promote the activities and goals of our chosen charities and help fundraise with and for them.

Community Mission Statement

Throughout our community work we will endeavour to share in the belief that everyone has potential for growth and change. Through involvement of Project Theatre volunteers and members in agreed partnerships and activities, Project Theatre will positively impact the local community and promote engagement of young people.

We will collaborate in a variety of ways to raise awareness of local groups and community organisations. By taking part in high profile events, actively promoting event activity and maintaining energetic, conjoined social media activity, Project Theatre will noticeably enhance the profile of such organisations.

We enter into activities and casual and formal partnerships with values of passion, inclusion and community spirit allowing us to achieve great things. Through visiting local services and organised events for example, Project Theatre volunteers will gain first hand insight into the vital work that they are supporting. Our community work combine providing our organisations services such as workshops and training in community settings, volunteering, event participation, fundraising and awareness raising.

Previous formal Partnerships have included working with Falkirk Young Carers Project, Falkirk Autistic Bairns (F.A.B.) and Aberlour Children’s Charity.
