Community, Charity & Schools

Charity / Community Partner

Every year, Project Theatre chooses a local charity that makes a positive difference in our community, particularly for children, young people and families.

Throughout the year, we work in partnership to raise awareness of their work and support their fundraising through show collections, joint events, campaigns and other initiatives. We are proud to use our platform to help shine a spotlight on the incredible work these organisations do.

Previous charity partners have included:

• Aberlour Children's Charity
• Falkirk Autistic Bairns
• Strathcarron Hospice
• Central Young Carers
• Maggie's Forth Valley
• Link Living
• Grangemouth Children's Day

We #LoveLiveandLocal

Love, Live and Local is our ongoing campaign celebrating and supporting the people, organisations, businesses and venues that make our community thrive.

Through the campaign, we promote local events, performances, community initiatives and independent businesses, encouraging people to support local and discover the incredible talent and opportunities on their doorstep.

Following the pandemic, during the cost of living crisis and with the loss of local cultural venues and community spaces across Falkirk, supporting local arts has never been more important. Every event attended, ticket bought and local organisation supported helps sustain the people, places and opportunities that enrich our communities.

We believe live arts play a vital role in improving confidence, mental wellbeing, social connection and community pride. That's why we continue to champion local artists, organisations and venues, while calling for continued investment in arts and culture for future generations.

As part of this campaign, we support local by using community venues, attending and promoting other organisations' events, collaborating with local artists and businesses, and encouraging our members, families and audiences to do the same.

It's wonderful to enjoy shows in Glasgow or Edinburgh, but don't forget that outstanding theatre, music, events and entertainment are happening right here in our own community too.

Together, we can help ensure our local arts scene doesn't just survive, but thrives.

School Experiences

We love working with schools to inspire creativity, build confidence and bring learning to life through the performing arts.

Schools can enjoy discounted group bookings to our productions and special daytime performances, with optional education packs, cast Q&A sessions and backstage tours, giving pupils a unique insight into how a theatre production comes together.

We also deliver interactive workshops in schools, either linked to one of our productions or tailored to curriculum topics and themes. From drama and storytelling to performance skills, confidence building and creative learning, our workshops can be adapted for different ages and abilities and are designed to be engaging, educational and fun.

Whether you're looking for an unforgettable theatre visit or a workshop delivered in your school, we'd love to work with you.

Local Good Causes Tickets

Project Theatre offers free tickets to our upcoming shows on an ongoing basis as prizes for local community groups and charities in the Falkirk area.

We believe in supporting our community and making live theatre and performing arts accessible to everyone in any way we can.

As we have a limited number available we encourage non-profit organisations to contact us as soon as possible by emailing hello@projecttheatre.org for these tickets to support their fundraising efforts for upcoming events and initiatives.
