Project Theatre was established in 2008 and has created over 30 productions and performances and has held over 40 workshops and training programmes and projects for members, staff and volunteers.
For 15 years we have presented a wide variety of work in all aspects of performing arts from acting, playwriting and singing to dance and physical theatre that ranges from large-scale productions in large venues to projects tailored to the smallest performing spaces.
In addition to conventional theatre spaces, we have performed in town centres, community centres and outside in parks and walled gardens.
Our varied productions have included everything from musicals and plays to devised pieces and panto!
Project Theatre hosts classes, schools and creates performances, productions and opportunities through our brances; Classes, Youth Theatre, Film & Digital, School Holidays and Community & Schools. From extraordinary projects with communities and residential Summer camps to ground-breaking and devised contemporary pieces.
Project Theatre’s aspiration continues to be to provide a quality and borad range of performances opportunities for all young people, show audiences something they are familiar with and something completely different and add substantial benefit to the local community.
In 15 years we think we have achieved just that and a lot more!
We are all very excited to celebrate our 15th year in style and we hope you will share this year with us and join us to see and shape what the future holds!
